I’ve been disappointed the last few months. I’ve been trying to get pregnant since the middle of summer, but every month, I’ve had to deal with seeing the same disappointment: a negative test result.
I am not going to lie. I thought my dream of becoming a mother would be easier than this. My expectations of a perfect life led me to believe that the journey to parenthood would happen smoothly. I didn’t expect to be so disappointed on the path to find my perfect life.

My boss called me into his office. I didn’t know if I was going to get fired. I had made a huge mistake the week before and tried to cover it up. But my boss found out on a Friday, and I beat myself up all weekend afraid of what was going to happen next.
I walked into his office. I tried to avoid eye contact. He pointed at a chair across from his desk and said, “Sit down. I need to talk to you about your future here.”

There is a massive difference between being rich and being wealthy. They are as different as living with, and without a heart. They may look like identical experiences on a spreadsheet, or from the outside looking in, but being rich and being wealthy, are two drastically different experiences.
I can remember the moment when I first noticed the difference between the two lifestyles, and the moment I chose the goal of building wealth in my life.
I was at a Christian networking event I had been invited to. I am a sales person in my day job, so after engaging in small talk with a few strangers and looking for business, I found a table and waited for the speaker to take the stage.

It took me years to get over my crippling fear of failure, but I don’t let it control me anymore. I embrace fear now. I am not afraid of fear, because I have learned that experiencing failure is a vital key needed to unlock success in your life.
The fear of failure is not an Egyptian Mummy wanting to hunt you down and steal your soul! Stand up to it today and yell, “NO! THE FEAR OF FAILURE WILL NO LONGER STEAL MY DREAM LIFE FROM ME! I AM NOW GOING TO LIVE WITHOUT FEAR!”

If I succeed at something, I push my limits to find more success. If I fail, at something, I pick myself back up, try again, and never take that road again. Failure is an essential part of living a successful life, and now that I am aware of that valuable piece of wisdom, failure doesn’t scare me anymore! It inspires me!

Stepping out with faith into the unknown, and going on an adventure outside of your comfort zone, is one of the most overlooked steps on the stairway to build wealth.
I am 35 years old, and my wife is 27. When we started dating, we had some bad debt: a school and car loan totaling in the low five-figure range. That was our first goal as a dating couple: working together to get debt-free. It took us about a year of sacrificing. We went at each day with the mentality that even a McDonald’s Egg-McMuffin was a big purchase, and eventually our last debt payment was made, and we were free from debt.

I have been living as a modern day time-traveler for the last few decades, and this mindset is starting to get to me. The mind of a time-traveler gets squirrely sometimes, and it’s making me worry too much. I am nervous that all this extra worry is starting to destroy my happiness.
A time-traveler’s mind is constantly reflecting on the past, while trying to visualize the future at the same time. They are rarely just enjoying the moment. Their mind races for the answers they seek, and they are always calculating the odds of how their decisions will work for, or against them in the future.
