If you read this blog regularly, and view each article as a piece of mental software that can be downloaded to improve your mind, you will become wealthy.
Building a mindset that will naturally lead you to a great life is the way we define wealth. This is what we call the Wealth Mindset. It is a holistic approach to creating wealth. This is how and why:
Part of Wealth Well Done’s culture and mission is to call out the lies that have slithered into American Culture. For example, one of the biggest lies is that in order to be wealthy, you need to sacrifice your happiness for the biggest paycheck.
This is a lie.
We are on a mission to redefine wealth. We don’t believe that wealth is only found in numbers on a bank account statement. Wealth is a feeling and power that is experienced in the mind when you make the right decisions and create value that you can share in the world. If your mind is focused on the right things, you will naturally become wealthy. This is how you create wealth.
I know this is true, because I was my first test subject.
It worked for me. It can work for you. This is what I mean:
Right around the time I was ending my college years, about 15 years ago, I had my own life problems to figure out. I loved the party lifestyle, and I was border-line addicted to it. Loud music, friends, mixed with alcohol, and anything else that could enhance the experience, made me feel the best I’d ever felt. My friends and I were young, free, cocky, and learning the ropes of life by trial and error.
When I was younger, I thought the secret to becoming wealthy was to portray an outward image of success no matter how you felt on the inside. I thought as long as I could talk and look the part, success would just naturally appear.
But after college ended, I learned all great parties eventually come to an end, and I realized I was wrong about a lot of the beliefs I had.
The party scene wasn’t making me happy anymore. In fact, the weekend cycle of intoxication and hangovers made me feel lost, empty, and confused. I became sick of keeping up an outward image of success, when I didn’t even like my life on the inside. I realized that no matter how successful and happy I could make myself look on the outside, it didn’t mean anything if I wasn’t happy with myself on the inside. Pretending to be someone I wasn’t, turned out to be one of the worst periods of my life.
Luckily, I made some new friends right when I needed them the most. They showed me a new adventure far from the party world.
They showed me that I could put my energy toward finding God and my purpose, rather than wasting my life intoxicated at a party and hungover the next morning. As I began to fix myself on the inside, I started to find happiness in my outward life again. This made me realize that all great experiences of wealth, success, and happiness, start by fixing ourselves on the inside first.
It’s been fifteen years since the last time I felt out of control with my life. I still love a great party, but I don’t miss the hangovers from going crazy and jumping off the cruise ship of good-sense and rationality. Destroying the “fake” me, for the chance to find the “real” me, I now realize, was my greatest insight on creating wealth.
We want to encourage you to take the same journey we are on to create wealth and find yourself. Destroy the “fake you,” and find the “real you,” and create the life of wealth you are supposed to live.
I called the system that revolutionized my life:
If it can change my life, it can change anyone’s life.
Mirror theory’s foundational belief is that we interact with life in two different worlds:
The first is the inner, existential world. This non-physical world exists in our minds, hearts, and souls.
The second is the external world. This second world is the physical world of Earth we all live in.
If you can master how these two worlds interact with each other, you can fix any problem, master the subjects of wealth and success, and take control of your life.
Learning How it Works:
The reason I called it Mirror Theory was because I realized the two worlds are dynamic. The internal self, and the external world, mirror each other perfectly. How your inner self thinks, directly creates the external reality you live in. The opposite is also true. The external reality you interact with, often inspires the way you think. Master the way you create your internal thoughts, and you can learn to master how you create your external world.
The most important point to understand this philosophy is this:
Understand that your mind is always creating your reality. If there’s a problem in your reality, then that means there’s a corresponding problem in your mind. Identify and fix the problem in your mind, and the corresponding problem in your reality will naturally go away.
The secret to happiness and life is that the fewer problems you have in your life, the wealthier you will become.
This is what I mean:
A large chunk of American society goes through their lives having no idea of how their mind is impacting their reality. The reason people experience so many problems in life is because they aren’t consciously creating their reality. They are just letting their subconscious mind spew whatever weird and crazy fantasies it dreams up into the external world to make their reality. Trying to make sense of your subconscious mind as your reality, I believe, is the reason why so many people’s lives are messed up.
The ultimate truth we trying to share at Wealth Well Done:
If you want a better reality to live, then start by building a better operating system for your mind. A wealthy mindset = A wealthy reality.
Words can only take an idea so far. Let’s put this philosophy into action to demonstrate how it works:
FIRST STEP: BECOME AWARE.
Become aware of your present life. Stop. Think about your life. Look around. Explore it. Have fun interacting with the present moment your mind has created for you.
SECOND STEP: IDENTIFY.
Now in your present moment, identify a problem you experience in your external life.
THIRD STEP: UNDERSTAND.
Let’s say one of your biggest problems is that you have some debt in your external world that is making you unhappy in your inner world. Every time you go to the mailbox, your reminded of that debt when you see that letter in the mail.
Become aware that the problem you’re experiencing in the external world, and how your feeling in your internal world are connected. They mirror each other. Reality is like looking into a mirror. What you see, is really a manifestation of your mind.
Rather than feeling helpless, find the link between your reality and your feelings.
In this example, since you’re aware that the source of your unhappiness is your debt, find the corresponding problem in your mind (your internal world) that created that debt in the first place.
Every problem in your reality has a corresponding problem in your mind. Fix the problem in your mind, and the problem in reality will naturally go away.
You may find the corresponding problem connected to the debt, is that you have a bad habit of avoiding things. This bad habit of avoidance is what created this debt in reality. This is your corresponding problem. Fix the avoidance issues in your mind, and the problems avoidance has caused in your external reality will naturally go away. Fixing your life really is that easy.
Fix your mind, and your life will follow.
Here is another example to show you that Mirror Theory works just as well in the opposite direction:
In the beginning of this article, I illustrated how my old party life made me feel miserable in my internal life.
As I stopped to evaluate my life, I realized that my unhappiness’s corresponding problem was the party lifestyle.
I simply removed that problem (the party life) and replaced it with new friends, and my unhappiness naturally went away.
I am convinced that the path to wealth, and a unique purpose of life, is found by fixing the problems in our minds one by one.
If you fix your mind, your life will follow and naturally fix itself.
I believe this is the ultimate life-changing system because it holds you accountable at all times. You are always the only thing that you can control in life. It puts you in control of yourself and your reality.
The way to solve your problems, is ultimately by fixing you.
This philosophy is also called personal responsibility. If you want to be wealthy, understand right now that personal responsibility is the key to open all your doors to wealth and success.
Devote your life to understanding your mind and your life. Find the corresponding problems between your internal and external life, and go on a mission to fix your life and yourself. As you fix everything about you, you will probably even find your purpose of life along the way.
This is how reading Wealth Well Done will make you wealthy: With fewer problems to deal with in your life, you will have more time to create the things that bring you true wealth and happiness.
Don’t be led astray by lies in American culture anymore. Building wealth is not found by selling your soul for a bigger paycheck. Wealth is found by fixing your mind, and building a wealthy mindset. When you do this, the life problems keeping you from wealth will naturally disappear.
The famous Greek philosopher, Aristotle once stated, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”
I will define wealth as:
“Wealth is found by reducing your life problems, while increasing the activities that create purpose, meaning, and resources in your life. Wealth then, is not a quantifiable number, but a customized lifestyle that creates the freedom and happiness for you to find your purpose.”
This is how to create wealth. This is the new way to wealth for the next generation.
