Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii

By Billy B | Purpose | 1 comment | 28 February, 2019 | 0

Aloha!  We’re traveling this week, so I wanted to say hello from the Pacific Ocean.  I 100% totally recommend Kauai, Hawaii if you ever want to do some tropical traveling while staying in the United States.

Kauai is known as, “The Garden Island,” because it’s so green, mountainous, and tropical, while being a daily 75ish degrees and sunny every day we’ve been here.  It really is heaven on earth as you can see from a few videos below. We’ll be back next week, and will start writing about money, self-improvement, and becoming wealthy once we’re home again.

Honestly, this was our first real vacation in the last 5 years.  So my goal of publishing these photos and videos isn’t to make anyone jealous.  It’s to show the life you can create for yourself if you always strive to be better; save and invest a significant portion of your income; and are always creating new investment income streams for yourself.  You can do this too if you work every day at making the right decisions that will lead you here.  So here’s some fun pics and videos, especially if you’re in a cold climate right now.

This was us hiking the Awa Awaphui trail  on the awesome, world-famous, and unbelievable Naplai Coast this week.  The end of the trail narrowed into a tiny little section with 1000+ foot sheer cliffs on either side. I had enough guts to make it out to the first section, but not the second.  It was crazy watching Amanda make it all the way out to the end.

Afterward, she told me, “I couldn’t look out at the drop.  I could only look at each stone ahead of me, or I was afraid my body would start to shake, panic, and I’d get stuck out there.”  It truly was a memory I’ll remember for a lifetime.

I also had some money-thoughts while I was standing on top of the Queens Bath Cliffs on a day of high surf:

And for years, Amanda has dreamed of doing a whale watching tour, which we took a few days ago.  We saw multiple humback families, with babies, and she even caught this one breaching on video with the Naplai Coast as the background:

She even planned a day of golfing a Hawaii mountain ridge for me for $20 each, which is a memory I’ll cherish when I’m old and stuck in a wheel chair one day:

We may have to start doing something like this every winter.  Being from Minnesota, the harsh winters get long, cold, and hard.  Just a two week break here has really helped get our spirits up, and get us excited for the beautiful Minnesota spring and summer that will start arriving when we return home.  God bless.

Those photos look amazing. We’ve been to Hawaii but never Kauai. Great shots whale watching & golfing, too!
